emilyan Posted November 25, 2009 Report Share Posted November 25, 2009 Hello. After i repaired my windows(from a serious issue), i encountered a problem. Each time i open the computer, a window with hardware update wizard appears and asks me to install ARWVE7U7 Ide controller. The problem is that i choose install the software automatically, i introduce my motherboard cd or windows cd, but it still doesn't find the driver. What should i do? I didn't find the driver on internet, and each time i open the computer this screen appears; on device manager, ARWVE7U7 Ide controller appears with a yellow !(on SCSI and RAID controllers). I am using windows xp sp3, and motherboard is Gigabyte, model EP31-DS3L, chipset Intel P35/G33/G31; southbridge Intel 82801GB(ICH7/R); LPCIO ITE IT8718. I use CPU-Z and i have written all i have seen at motherboard. Hope this helps. Going back to your recent post: http://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php?showtopic=43024It may be that your Operating System in it's present state, is going to be one of those that "forever" keeps throwing up "Errors" You may just have an ageing system that is wearing out. :( (Like an old galleon, the ship is ok, - but the crew need replacing)Maybe malware has been introduced into the system. (Any rootkits in there?) Registry cleaning/optimizing tools "have been used" - without any known reason apart from "The Need for Speed" (Can be very bad news for the registry !)I updated my windows to sp3, with all updates, and now it works fine(i dont get BSOD and kis 2010 works normalThat was all fine then............ Until a couple of days later when all was not fine. :( (Past errors catching up with the present ?)You just might hit lucky and get this fixed up with the help of folks on here. (I really hope you do) First: Back up your data>Use the disc that you used for the XP repair you told us about to Re-install the operating system. Have a re-think about Disk imaging & registry backup which will allow you to play silly buggers, and turn the clock back for evermore .Have just gotta say that people who launch themselves from one moment seemingly not knowing how to analyze, or know anything about BSOD start talking about SCSI, and Raid Controllers screws with my head a bit. emilyan Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 28, 2009 That program called Drivermax helped me a lot(as i have seen that all my drivers were outdated...), and now i dont get any problem(it is too bad I can only update 2 drivers a day).
