myjubie Posted November 29, 2009 Report Share Posted November 29, 2009 Hello all , I'm a newbie to this site and a newbie to the whole computer world , looking for some help on setting up a home network , I am running Windows 7 on my desk top , and my 3 children have laptops with Vista on them , I would like some help setting up a network so we can all share pics and most important share the printer I have set up to my desktop ( Running windows 7 ) , we are all on line and working , I have a router set up on my desktop and all 3 laptops are able to get on line , but sharing Pics and most important I need to share my printer for there schooling ..... is there a place that I can go to see detailed instructions on how to set this up , or can someone send me detailed instructions ?? , is this easy to do , is it possible to do with windows 7 and vista ?? It will be similar in most places for Windows XP users but I haven't used Windows 7 yet so I don't know about that one - I'd imagine it would be fairly similar though.If not, then use the file and printer sharing wizard in control panel.
