Boris Posted December 8, 2009 Report Share Posted December 8, 2009 Do you mean that want to install XP on your new machine in addition to Windows 7 ?If so your XP disc will need to be a Retail rather than OEM version.Did you get a Windows 7 or Recovery disc with your new PC ? - or does it have a Recovery partition ? Boris Posted December 8, 2009 Report Share Posted December 8, 2009 I have been able to install Office 2000 on my Windows 7 PC with no problem, so I presume you can install Office XP as well on Windows 7 - because it is a later version than 2000. Hope it is of some help.Just worth mentioning that in Windows 7 you can still install programs in various "Compatibility Modes"You could find that "Family Tree Maker" (Office 2000 in your case !) may install in another mode.
