This includes Moniter, Standby and hard disks.Hibernation is unchecked.Under users there are 2 option, me (who is an administrator) and the adminitstor. Guest account is turned offWhy then can anyone tell me when I dont use my computer for a short while, it goes back to the logon screen. Not only does it do that but if I Alt/Tab I find another log on screen with my name however I am not able to click it. I want to get rid of that screen as that is surplus to requirements. Dencandy Posted January 16, 2010 Report Share Posted January 16, 2010 There's another well hidden item that might be causing this. It's an option to require the user to logon again after the Screen Saver kicks in after XX minutes. To find it open Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Display > Screen Saver. In the lower part of that window you'll see 2 items. One is to use a screen saver for XX minutes; the other is require a password in order to use the computer after the screen saver kicks in (it's intended as a security device to prevent anyone else using the computer when it's running but while you are away from it).
