I have Vista, and wanted to format the pc ..And so, I put the cd format into the drive (I tried both the XP and Windows 7), do a Restart, but the drive does not start the Boot.Someone help me? It will be displayed in white on black usually at the bottom right of the screen before you get the beeping to indicate the POST check. andsome Posted January 25, 2010 Report Share Posted January 25, 2010 With XP you need to do as Catgate suggested and check that the BIOS is set for the computer to boot from CD. However, I have found that with Windows 7, you simply put the DVD into your tray and select to install. It will delete the installation already on the computer and install afresh.
