thatjamesguy Posted February 21, 2010 Report Share Posted February 21, 2010 My friend has recently had a corrupt file in windows vista on her laptopnow stupidly instead of coming to me to repair windows she accidently removed windows and lost all her files along with itnow i think she is currently running linux but i have a windows vista CD for her to install.will i be able to recover any of her lost files?or are they gone for good?thanks heaps for the help :) James. Alan2273 Posted February 21, 2010 Report Share Posted February 21, 2010 Before you start reinstalling Vista, download GParted http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php, and see if the Vista partition is still there, if it is you can copy the files you need to an external hard drive from the Linux OS.
