Opening a window from within a window

I thought there was a shortcut to open a folder window from within another folder window. For example, if folder A contains Folder B and Folder A is open, I thought there was a way to double-click on B, opening it while leaving A open as well.

Control panel / folder options / general and tick the box open each folder in it's own window. That's with XP I will look on W7 later when I fire it up, but would think it should be about the same

Thanks Rong, but that fixes it so that every occasion that I double click on a folder it opens a new window. I thought the command was something like, hold down the shift key while double-clicking, which doesn't work by the way. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Right-click+X does that for me.
