C: have switched with E: even after reformating!!

Wery depressive all this, i have reformatted my Maxtor drive which are a splitted 186 Gb, where 20 Gb is for C:/ to install windows, but for some reason that drive have adopted E:/ permanetley it seems..even after formatting :hairup:

and guess what it havent switched letter with the drive within same partition (G:)

no it have instead exchanged its C: with one of my complete unrelated harddrives

WDC WD2500JB-00GVA (that have becomed C:) while keep crediting E: as systemstart drive :wacko

This is a complete new motherboard to me

i have contacted my friend who performed the BIOS setup for me..and he claims the settings havent changed since he applyd them,

what have caused this entire problem looks to 98 % be myself when i switched volume letters in windows disk mananger on all my harddrives exept C:/

..bud i didnt do this the wery first i did after i hade installed windows, i installed some probably important things before the switch, with my old motherboard i however was fully allowed

to change drive letters, the only thing that could happend whas that certain installed applications could suffer, but im not sure my friend was 100 % on the bios settings just as i am, so its possible the solution is in there?

heres the boot drive order to start with, then take that and compare this v.s my attached scheme i created for this post, and the second snapshot picture below here, and hopefully that brings situation clear, otherwise as me return questions

1. Ch2 M. :Maxtor

2. Ch0 M. :WDC WD2500JB OOGVA

3. Ch0 S. :WDC WD2000JB OOGVA

4. Ch3 M. :Hitatchi

And now for the crucial part, before this final mess hade occured i happend to take this snapshot yesterday? look closly on first snap, and then compare it with the second one that represent the right now (i have been forced to change some of the volume names yes, but look on the sizes to match them)

"SYSTEMSTART" SHALL NOT EXIST ON E:/!!!! what is that and how do i get rid of it?

have i been hijacked by hackers or can i exclude that??

i have atleast performed a Symantec online virus scan..and if found nothing,

what could i have done accidentley to cause this myself?

perhaps there is a explanation what a system start partition is and how to to create them..accidentley there? im wery crappy in understanding manuals so i have no chance myself, perhaps you can?

just a note, keep was using wrong word there, i shall not have any systemstart drive, i have never hade before, "system" and "active"(whatever that means) is the only right combination

so the drive that was named (active) in the first picture have now changed to (system) while the real wannabee system (20 gb) have becomed "systemstart"

and all systemfiles remains on (systemstart) drive (20 gb)

but within "my computer" the new unrelated (system) drive lies as first disc from left...and the wannabee this disc (now systemdrive) are now placed third from left

so to summarize how do i remove this state (systemstart) from my splitted Maxtor drive (20 Gb)?

Are you using some sort of boot manager? It apppears as if that boot manager is responsible for that.

No i dont use any manager, this "systemstart" status i have not apply'd myself with my good memory atleast
