dinosaw Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 Hi, I have an acer aspire 3000 series and got some problems. When I power up it turns on and nothing happens. Last time I tried to turn it on the aced screen loaded then it frooze there. Before this started happenning I connected 12 directly to the battery terminals on the back of the laptop unsure of + and -. then put 12 volts throuh the lead that plugs I. The back but it requires 18 volts so the battery light jus flashed 3 times indicating the battery was low. AlanHo Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 Remove the battery from the laptop and try booting it with just the mains charger connected.If it works - the problem is with the battery - if not - the computer seems to be at fault. -pops- Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 My personal view on this is that it is much too complex a problem to be dealt with in a remote fashion such as a forum.Your really need to get hands-on examination of the machine by someone who really knows what they are doing.Yes, OK, people here can give you advice and suggestions but these do not substitute having the machine physically available to work on.
