Account Cross Over

OMG this is driving me insane! Let's see if I can get anyone on this forum to help.

AS EASY AS I CAN POOSIBLY EXPLAIN IT:

1.) I have a Laptop loaded with Windows 7.

2.) On that laptop I have two accounts.

3.) The first account is mine and the second account is my girlfriends.

4.) My account was the first account on the computer and then I made my girlfriends account next.

5.) I gave my girlfriends account administrative rights so that she could do whatever she needed to do on the system, like install her own software.

...Now that we're through all that, here's the problem:

1.) When my girlfriend installs a piece of software on her account, it puts an icon on my desktop.

2.) When my girlfriend makes any changes to her account, the changes cross over to my account.

3.) When I open itunes on my account, itunes tries to open on her account, but then tells her that she can't use itunes because another user already has it open.

4.) When I shut itunes down it opens on her account, then I can't open it anymore until I log off of my account, log onto her account and shut it down, then log off her account and then back onto mine again.

in other words, our accounts are running as one account.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!!!!!

Have you checked what happens if you change your girlfriends' account to standard?

Does it really have to be with administrator privileges?

No you are not the only one to suffer from this problem, It is because you have the users folder set to all users.

The only way I found, after trawling the net for an answer was when your girlfriend(s) are installing a program is to untick the desktop icon and then locate the installed program in all programs and drag it to the desktop to put the icon there, this will stop it transferring to other desktops.
