Mad Catz Blaster- Light Gun Drivers

Recommended Posts

I have just recently acquired a "mad catz blaster" it's a blue light gun that looks like it worked at one point. The deal with it is that it has three output ports- ps2, a/v jack video, and USB. I tried plugging it into my PS3, but it didn't recognize it. My PC had no such luck either.

I'm running 7 right now...

Anyways, after some heavy googling, I found nothing. no one had any drivers, and none were in the making.

So my question is this: How can I make a driver for it (i've never made a driver before), and if I can't, who cares enough to make one for me?

Thanks.

Writing driver software is highly specialised and requires an intimate knowledge of the hardware it is being written for.

Have you tried to contact the manufacturers, http://www.madcatz.com/ to enquire if they can help?

Yeah, all I got was an email stating that "this product is not specified to work under any system other than the ps2"

Hmmmmm....

I'm doubtful that, in those circumstances, there will be anything you can do. Manufacturers often forget or ignore older versions of their products when something more up-to-date appears on the market.

Is there a forum dedicated to this hardware? It's a long shot but there may be some enthusiast who has devised some drivers for it
