hello everybody,

My computer with the following specifications:

operating system: windows xp sp3 professional

Processor: Intel® Pentium ®4CPU 3.20GHZ (2CPUs)

RAM: 512MB

After i installed my windows, some problems happened to me:

first one: when i want to turn off or restart my computer, these buttons don't do their function ( that's mean when i press on of the previous buttons no thing happen), so i'm forced to turn off the computer from the hardware button.

last one:

when i open the task manager, the following message appears:

(null)

The specified path doesn't exist.

Check the path, and then try again.

I know this not a virus, but may be some files are corrupted or deleted, and i didn't know how to treat or solve these problems.

i'm looking forward to hear from you,

regards,

Assuming that

1 Your copy of Windows XP is from a genuine Microsoft disc,

2 This OS has worked OK previously,

3 The installation was validated by Microsoft.

4 You have just reinstalled Windows and the problem has now arisen.

Then

* If after the reinstallation, the system worked OK for a while - use System Restore to get back to when it was OK.

* If this happened immediately after the reinstallaton of Windows - it would appear that during the installation some files were corrupted and you will have to reinstall Windows again.

If however - you have obtained your copy of XP from an unofficial download file or copy disc - then your OS will not be genuine and problems can be expected..
