kumarn Posted May 30, 2010 Report Share Posted May 30, 2010 i installed Windows Vista(Home Basic) on my laptop.before Vista, xp was installed in my laptop.in my laptop have three drive( C, D and E).XP was installed on c drive. after installation of Vista, i have to format Vista again due to some reason and install the Vista again.during installation i clicked on delete link instead of format link. its happen by mistake. so as a result c drive space made hidden which was around 29 GB.then i installed vista on d drive of my laptop. after installation of vista, d drive now make c drive and e drive make d drive. so now only two drive display in my laptop ( C and D).i checked Disk Management, it show only two volume C and D, NTFS FIle System. but in below a graphical manner, it show 29.29 GB free space, C (29.29 GB NTFS Healthy (Boot, Page Fille, Crash Dump, Logical Drive)), D (41.28 GB NTFS Healthy (System, Active, Primary Partition)) and 11.91 GB unallocated ( in black color).please suggest how i get the free space to make this free space as E drive.when i right click on free space to create a volume, it doesn't show me to make e drive in combo box. by default it show f drive when i try to create a volume.and how i use unallocated space.please help me. thanks in advance.
