Micro Atx Power Supply

Hello all, I am having severe trouble trying to locate a Micro ATX Power Supply. This is for a Packard Bell Spirit PC, the power supply being a Bestec 130NATX, size is 100mm, x 90mm, x 80mm.

This is for a colleague of mine, who so far has only managed to find one in the US, but they want nearly $100.00 postage  :(

If anybody knows where he may be able to locate one, I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks in advance. Regards. Mr. Mouse.

Mr M,

Is this any good ? Also US but only $44

Low Profile (2.5inch high) SFX unit

Replacement/upgrade for the following power supplies:

Bestec ATX-100-5 (atx100-5) Power Supply

Bestec ATX-151 Power Supply (atx151)

Bestec ATX-1523D Power Supply (atx1523d)

Bestec ATX-1523F (H2974) Power Supply (atx1523f)

A lot of the e-Machines PSU's are a similar size to the one you want and there is also an Enlight one (can't remember the model) which was fitted in several Advent models) which is also tiny - 150w ?

This is the same as the US one above - an Enlight one ?

SFX-1215A, EN-8156903, 150w SFX PSU, +3.3V 7A, +5V 12A, +12V 5A, -12V 0.3A, +5Vsb, 3x 5.25” & 1x 3.5” Connectors, 100mm W x 63mm H (plus 12mm for Fan Mounting) x 125mm D, see FSP180-51NI £call

Thanks guys. I have also managed to find the following two, both in America

http://www.ezsystems.com/test/cat.cgi?s=BESTEC

http://www.alancomputech.com/atx130n.html

I think the problem is, that although it is a micro atx, it seems to have a strange sixe PSU :(

Packard Bell have been a bit offish about it, and simply state that the guy should just buy a new pc  Says a lot for Packard Bell, this machine is only just over 3 years old, and cost a fair bit of money when it was bought!! But they deem it as being useless now. The really annoying thing, is that if it was a couple of months newer, it would still have been in warranty, and they would have had to replace the PSU, but they will not give any information to my friend about where he can get one!

Unless we can find anything else sooner, I think we have found someone who is going to the states in a few months, who will be happy to bring one back and save the shipping costs.

Thank you anyway. Mr. M.

  • 2 weeks later...

Mr Mouse,

I may soon have access to a small 150W Enlight PSU which I haven't actually measured, but I think from memory is just about the the size you want.

I won't be able to see it for about 2/3 weeks, because the current owner is away on holiday.

He's thinking of upgrading which will definitely mean a new case + 350W PSU.

It's obviously S/H but in full working order and about 2 years ? old.

Might you have an interest ?
