Try to sort out the video files that you wish to convert to .mkv first. Let us know if our ideas solved your problem.

Oracle can come way, way, later. Let's just deal with the video files first.

( Give us some, thanks, feedback, and a clue as to how things are going in that area first please.)

Your response will help others in the same situation.

The post to which I refer is here: http://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php?showtopic=46197&pid=314974&st=0entry314974

Oracle has a very broad base of Applications, Middleware, Server and Storage systems, and Database Security software, none of which you have felt neccessary to tell us which particular ones you are trying to install. (Probably just an oversight on your behalf, - but it must be said a very important oversight.)

Let's try to walk before we run. :)

You will agree that it is only good manners on your part to reply to the post about .mkv files first ?

Right. Let us stick with .mkv files then yes ?

John.

Here are the results for that search Irene.

I did think of posting that, but after looking at it, thought it may confuse jakszewa even more. :(

Doesn't mean to say it wont work though.

Could be complex, and using Vista compatible software

Cant really advise because we dont know which part of Oracle is being installed.

Probably be better to get the result of the AVI to MKV conversion first to be able to judge the users computer capabilities and expertise, before we dig ourselves in too deep on this one methinks. ;)
