unexpected shutdown

hello,

my pc performs shutdowns on every half an hour (sometimes even less),

what info do you need to help me with it?

Have you looked through logs in Event Viewer>Custom Views>Administrative Events?You may find a clue to your issue there.Look for logs marked Critical and Error.

How old is your machine?Could it be caused by HDD/s overheating from poor ventilation and/or dust buildup?

The machine doesn't run a game/movie, if that's what you mean.

It's quite idle when doing those shutdowns (bluescreens)

Try running it with administrative privileges.Run as administrator.

tdx.sys is the Microsoft Windows TDI translation driver that should be located in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers directory - it causes a BSOD with some sntivirus software.

What I meant by idling is it not doing anything visible or tangible at all and without any external input from you.

thanks, I've read that post before,

Most cases there refer to NIC problems, but my NIC driver has been installed couple of months ago,

and I didn't have those issues back then.

anyway, I'll try to update my NIC driver (and pray it will help :] )

I'm not at home right now, I'll try to update my network adapter, and see if it helps,

I haven't updated anything lately, and didn't try to restore to a time before this issue (yea, my bad...)

I don't think I have any back-up media to recover from, but, if the problem will continue I'll probably install the windows again (I need to install the 64 bit version anyway sometime...)

I tried to update the NIC driver, but it didn't help,

I tried to ran the chkdsk tool, and it didn't help either,

I've noticed that is happens only when the BitTorrent is on, but since I dah enough,

I prefered to format and install a fresh windows (64-bit now :] )

and everything works great now,

I wanna thank you for your help,

and hope not to come up against that problem
