Ryan Tegtmeier Posted September 13, 2010 Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 I have heard, and I believe it based on the speed of my computer right now, that Windows Vista Home Premium does not support dual core CPUs in a sense that you will not get one of the cores to work unless you have Vista Ultimate. -pops- Posted September 13, 2010 Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 On several machines I have installed a CPU/RAM meter from the "gadgets" available in Vista and W7.In all the versions of both systems the meter shows that both cores of dual core CPU's are used.
