doug
G'daughter has just been round with her laptop. Concerned that I couldn't get Windows Taskmanager to run. Her OS is Win 7 64 bit. Any suggestions very welcome.
Digerati
Well, if she (or the administrator) did not disable it intentionally then that is not a good sign, but rather a classic sign of malware infestation. I would urge you to run a complete and thorough scan for malware before doing anything else. Once you are positive the system is free of malware, Task Manager can be enabled by following these instructions.
doug
Can only get part way through on that link. She cannot expand the Policies key. More help please. She is logged in as Administrator.

doug
Nothing. Kaspersky had been run and Housecall said no malware present.
