ultrafast
Thank You for the reply I was unable to use those suggestions. DOS wont accept any of those commands.I feel at this point I should just try to recover as much data as possible. Is there a free disk to this? and how do I find out from DOS if my system is Fat or NFTS?ThanksHave a look at this for background ? :-/>http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927391and this seems to be the same problem you have :-/>http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Solve-Windows-Vista-Error-error-occurred-while-attempting-to-read-the-boot-configuration-data - see under S

Seshomaru Samma
If the ultimateboot CD doesn't work, you can save your data with Knoppix, here is how.
