kiterider
My Win2003 R2 x64 server has 6 GB Ram. As i see, in Taskmanager the all used memory never more, than 2 GB ram. Why? The MSSQL 2008 R2 left just ~1,5 GB Ram. What is the problem, why don't use the server all of 6 GB?I hope, you understand my question! Thanks! -pops-
It is only more recent versions of Windows that are able to accommodate large amounts of RAM.According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Server_2003 only 4GB will be seen by the system.
