Hi everyone

when I go to open a folder without a shortcut a message appears(this dosn't happen if the folder is on my desktop and I can still open folders if I right-click and go open) saying; This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Pleace install a program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.

I have looked at the Default controlls panel and was completely stumped on what to do so any assistance ang guidance would be greatly appreciated

I will,if permitted, add that Windows cannot open all file types natively.Sometimes you may run across certain file types that you will need a third party program to open.Such as .rar,.tar,PDF and a host of others.Yes I know that newer versions of Windows comes with Adobe Reader, that is a third party program.

Hope this helps.
