Need help with Robocopy GUI

Recommended Posts

I am trying to use Microsoft's Robocopy GUI to copy large folders. I'm missing something... I can't get it to work. I specify the source folder, then the target folder, click on RUN, and immediately get the "Robocopy finished" message telling me to view the log file. However, nothing is copied, and there is no log file. I must be leaving out an obvious step, but I don't know what it is. I even specify the wildcard *.* after the source folder name, still no success. I can't find any help in the brief guide that comes with Robocopy.

Any of you familiar with Robocopy GUI, I'd appreciate your help. What am I leaving out?

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Jim G. :welcomewf:

Jim G Said: - What am I leaving out?

In my opinion Jim, - Going straight to source.

Microsoft Technet - Have a large library, community content, and forum, when it comes to Robocopy.

If you are finding Pops link a bit dead at the moment. Try here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/File-Management/Microsoft-RichCopy.shtml
