Crandle
When it comes to electronics brands, in how far do you guys use the original accessories (chargers, headphones, etc)? I got an iPad & MacBook, and I only purchase original Apple accessories, but my friends are always telling me off that I pay too much for those. How do you go about it? -pops-
Depends on the item being replaced. In the examples you gave, I have never needed to buy a new charger as I can usually find an old one in my junk box. Regarding headphones, I get whatever is this week's or today's special offer at Amazon or Ebuyer. Other things such as new hardware for inside the machine, I normally go for a known brand but not necessarily an original. I've been caught out in the past by buying "cheap and cheerful" when the people I've been building for insist on low cost. This sometimes results in a half functional or completely dud item. Because of this, I now buy only known brands - not necessarily the most expensive - with a reasonable warranty.I learned two adages in my youth:You get what you pay for.andThere are tools and there are toys.I takes a bit of judgement and experience to find the optimum. bludgard
If I can find a decent product at a reasonable price I will consider it.I very rarely buy the least expensive option as I expect it to fail my needs/wants.I rarely purchase the most expensive as well.I'm sure there is a huge markup on the value. To add an addage to the two -pops- has offered, here is another;Cheap is expensive.(I assume this to mean that you may end up buying several cheap issues of a product instead of purchasing a reliable, trusted item to begin with).A good warranty is always a deciding factor also. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Well, I'll let them play (and have MANEMAN have some fun with them too), as long as they don't post any spam links. If they do, their account will swiftly be marked as a spam account, so they can no longer post.
