my computer set-up:

windows 7 OS on 80 GB SSD

have 3 more separate HD (D:, E: & F:) with data & some of them as my back up on my windows 7 OS

question: can you create/set-up windows 7 to automatically save/use data on the separate HD , ex. when ripping music, the file will automatically go to my other HD say D:, where my music folder is? right now i have to save pictures, music, etc to my 80 GB C: drive and cut & paste to my other separate HD. a little bit of hazzle.

also sometimes i can see pop-up note that i have to have admin permission when deleting folders in my separate HD.

appreciate your help.

You can always set up your personal folders, 'My Pictures', 'My Music', etc, or your whole user profile on other locations than the C: drive, and point the appropriate environment variables (%USERPROFILE%, %CSIDL_MYPICTURES", etc) to these locations.

For a list of recognized environment variables see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560744%28WS.10%29.aspx
