can windows 7 professional use applocker on single computer?

Recommended Posts

hello everyone,

i recently came across the windows 7 applocker security feature, it states that it can lock files by setting some rules, however does this scenario apply?

i want to setup an applocker rules for a single computer on non admin users.

the user will use this guest/other non admin account to use just one application to execute (eg. java program or other client apps) and internet connection,

the other apps such as window games, command prompt, task manager and access to C:\drive folder are all prohibited. can it be done? the OS is windows 7 professional.

please advice,

wesley

Yes. The scenario to which you specifically refer would most probably apply.
