Ramunerobot
Why can't I open more than 15 mp3s with a program other than windows media player and if I can, how?
Boris
Do you mean open 15 mp3 tracks concurrently (at the same time) ?What other programs have you tried - to find out that there is this limit ?
Ramunerobot
I mean 15 mp3s selected at the same time, if I right-click I can't simply open them and if I disable windows media player as a windows feature I can't do anything to them other than scan for viruses or archive. Boris
Try using the free VLC Media Player ?/>http://www.videolan.org/vlc/It plays literally everything including most codecs (with no codec packs needed)I use this for everything :)

Ramunerobot
I'm using Media player classic hc which has no issues opening mp3s through the program itself, I'm just angry that explorer refuses to open more than 15 media files at the same time without using windows media player 12 and apparently for mkvs I can't use anything to open more than 15 of them. bludgard
Forgive an aging fool. Could you please define "open." EDIT: I suppose what I'm asking is, are you trying to play them all in a sequence? Or is this some type of new interlacing technology we're talking about? EDIT: I suppose what I'm asking is, are you trying to play them all in a sequence? Or is this some type of new interlacing technology we're talking about? If I select 15 media files or less in the file explorer and right-click I can choose to open them and they'll all be added to the playlist in mpc-hc but if I select 16 or more media files in the file explorer I only have the option of playing them in windows media player 12 and if I disable windows media player as a windows feature I have no options when I right click 16 or more of them.
