ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I haven't used Excel much in the past, but these days I use it sometimes for various tasks. I'm using Excel 2003.I am generating Excel output from my book project, to transfer data to other places. Here is a screenshot of part of a document generated earlier today:My question is: what is that little green triangle that is sometimes shown beside a cell (right of C6)?(Just curious; my life does not depend on it.) ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Ah - why not google first...?/>http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/about-triangle-indicators-in-cells-HP003089552.aspx
Digerati
Yeah, Google does wonders sometimes. What it has failed to do is explain why a "green" triangle indicates an error. I can see red, yellow, orange - just about any color, but green. Oh well. Some people's kids!
D4\/!d
I use the notes/comments [shift+F2] in Excel a lot - that gives a red triangle. The green one tells me the formula is unlike the neighbouring cells - not that I want to know that - it can be annoying. For example if I add part of the column to get a s/total, then cross cast a row into that column it shows up Green coz it's different to the neighbours. Yeah I know it is !
