Dear Mr. Cameron,

Please find below our suggestion for fixing England 's economy.

Instead of giving billions of pounds to banks that will squander the money onlavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.

You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 10 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them £1million each severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire - ten million job openings - unemployment fixed

2) They MUST buy a new British car. Ten million cars ordered - car Industryfixed

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - housing crisisfixed

4) They MUST send their kids/grandkids to school/college/university - Crimerate fixed

5) They MUST buy £100 WORTH of alcohol/tobacco a week.....and there's yourmoney back in duty/tax etc

6) Instead of stuffing around with the carbon emissions trading schemes thatmakes us pay for the major polluters, tell the greedy b*stards to reduce theirpollution emissions by 75% within 5 years or we shut them down.

It can't get any easier than that!

And if more money is needed, have all members of parliament pay back theirfalsely claimed expenses and second home allowances.

Grumpies of the World Unite

Other points you might consider:

Put the pensioners in jail and the criminals in a nursing home, then thepensioners would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.

They'd also receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs etc.

They'd have constant video monitoring so if assistance was needed they'd haveimmediate help.

Bedding would be washed twice a week, and all clothing would be washed andironed as needed.

There would be a guard to check on them every 20 minutes and staff to bringtheir meals and snacks to their cell.

They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.

They would have access to a library, weight room, spiritual counseling, pooland education.

Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, PJ's and legal aid would be free, on request.

There would be private, secure rooms for all, with an exercise outdoor yard, with gardens for anyone who felt the need to exercise.

Each senior could have a PC a TV radio and daily phone calls and there would bea board of directors to hear complaints, and all guards would have a code ofconduct that would have to be strictly adhered to.

The criminals, on the other hand, would get cold food, be left all alone andunsupervised day and night.

Lights off at 8pm, and showers once a week; live in a tiny room and pay £600.00per week without any hope of ever getting out.

Think about this (more points of contention):

COWS

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that, during the mad cowepidemic, our government could track a single cow, born almost three years agoin Appleby, right to the stall where she slept in the county of Cumbria ? And,they even tracked her calves to their individual stalls.. But they are unableto locate 125,000 illegal immigrants wandering around our country. Maybe weshould give each illegal immigrant a cow.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouseor Parliament, is this -

You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal', 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' and'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians.....It creates a hostile work environment.<br style="mso-special-character: line-break;"><br style="mso-special-character: line-break;">

You really shouldn't put into print sensible ideas Alan.

Sensibility equates with anarchy in most peoples minds these days.

Sensible thought most times seen as undermining a hidden agenda too intellectually lofty for the mere "Plebs" to understand. :)

To lighten up again, I will just add a little something that I found amusing:

Spare a thought for Michael O'Leary, Chief Executive of 'Ryanair'.

Arriving in a hotel in Dublin ,he went to the bar and asked for a pint of draught Guinness.

The barman nodded and said, "That will be one Euro please, Mr. O'Leary."

Somewhat taken aback, O'Leary replied, "That's a very competitive price," and handed over his money.

"Will you be wanting a glass with that?" enquired the barman..........

Problem one the only British car Manufactures left would take hundreds of years to fill the orders

Problem two, there would be no money left to buy the £100 WORTH of alcohol/tobacco a week so they would have to claim it from social services and it would end up costing more than it is now

Trust you to pee on my chips.............however - Morgan, Bristol, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Bentley, Caterham, Honda, Toyota and Nissan all qualify as British cars because they have more than 50% British content and are built in England. The new MG does not qualify, although assembled here - 70% comes from China.

"Ford Fiesta; Honda Civic and Accord; Nissan Micra, Primera, and Almera; Peugeot 206; Toyota Corolla and Avensis; Vauxhall Astra; all Jaguar, Land Rover, MG and Rolls Royce/Bentley models; and some Vectras." only assembled here, or that's what it says, from my little research I think Aston Martian are about the only one I can think may come close as the rest have at least the engine imported, the new Mini and Morgan are close
