miseryguts
Firstly hello to all here (great forum) and apologies if this question is in the incorrect section. Is there any workaround for the: A file name can't contain any of the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > when you try to use one of the symbols in a folder name, i am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Thanks.
Irene
Hello miseryguts, welcome to the forum. :D Your question suggests that you are trying to save a file using one of the characters listed. Unfortunately, as you have found, there are certain reserved characters. Details here:http://msdn.microsof...y/aa365247.aspx I realise that this does not actually address the problem for you, but I hope it provides some insight. Maybe someone else has ideas for a 'walkaround' other than avoiding using those characters. :)
Nacht
Well this could be done in another OS possibly but I dont think that you want to do this and still use the file in windows./>http://www.worldstart.com/file-name-characters-to-avoid/
