blue password screen on startup?

help!

My daughter may have picked up a virus on my toshiba laptop! it is running windows 7. as soon as you switch on it shows toshiba logo and about pushing f2 for startup and then goes to this "enter password", l have not seeen this before and also you cannot click f12 to enter boot setup. has anyone else had this problem??

Dou you possess install media and are able to boot from said media?

Try tapping the F8, F12, or ESC keys intermittently after post but before Windows starts loading. We're going for is something like last known good configuration. If there is no recovery partition on the machine, or it has become corrupt, that is where the install media will come in handy. ;)

Same as a Windows 7 repair disk. WinRE. Tools, man!
