Irene
I have just treated myself to a new All-in-One touch-screen computer - I'll update my specs later. ;) Having installed my Acronis True Image, it is suggesting that I create a Bootable Media Disc. Whilst proceeding through the wizard, I have reached the following (below) - what, if anything, should I select? Bootable media startup parameters Here, you can set bootable media startup parameters in order to configure rescue media boot options for better compatibility with different hardware. Several options are available (nousb, nomouse, noapic, etc.).To add a startup parameterEnter a command into the Parameters field.Having specified the startup parameters, click Next to continue.Additional parameters that can be applied prior to booting Linux kernel DescriptionThe following parameters can be used to load Linux kernel in a special mode:acpi=offDisables and may help with a particular hardware configuration.noapicDisables APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller) and may help with a particular hardware configuration.nousbDisables loading of USB modules.nousb2Disables USB 2.0 support. USB 1.1 devices still work with this option. This option allows using some USB drives in USB 1.1 mode, if they do not work in USB 2.0 mode.quietThis parameter is enabled by default and the startup messages are not displayed. Deleting it will result in the startup messages being displayed as the Linux kernel is loaded and the command being offered prior to running the Acronis program.nodmaDisables DMA for all IDE disk drives. Prevents kernel from freezing on some hardware.nofwDisables FireWire (IEEE1394) support.nopcmciaDisables PCMCIA hardware detection.nomouseDisables mouse support.[module name]=offDisables the module (e.g. sata_sis=off).pci=biosForces to use PCI BIOS, and not to access the hardware device directly. For instance, this parameter may be used if the machine has a non-standard PCI host bridge.pci=nobiosDisallows use of PCI BIOS; only direct hardware access methods are allowed. For instance, this parameter may be used if you experience crashes upon boot-up, probably caused by the BIOS.pci=biosirqUses PCI BIOS calls to get the interrupt routing table. These calls are known to be buggy on several machines and they hang the machine when used, but on other computers it is the only way to get the interrupt routing table. Try this option, if the kernel is unable to allocate IRQs or discover secondary PCI buses on your motherboard.
-pops-
I don't see this with my Acronis. Which version are you using? I'm using version 12 and I have made a bootable recovery disk (to be used in conjunction with my backup drive) Via the Create Bootable Media header at the top of the main page. I don't see anything like you're seeing.

-pops-
From my recollection of Acronis 10, all you need to do is follow the instructions under the "Create bootable rescue media" and burn on to a CD.

Alan2273
I have never noticed that before, because all you need is the default option, then select your CD/DVD drive and burn baby burn.
