Screen driver atikmdag stopped responding and has recorvered

Just about 4 og 5 weeks ago I have been getting a error message, like I write in the title of this topic.

My PC is an HP EliteBook 8730w with Windows Vista Business 32 bit. The screen card is ATI Mobility FireGL V5725. The driver is updated with the last known update (YY-MM-DD = 2009-03-06) and driver version 8.543.1.7000.

I have been looking to several topics in the internet about this issue. Some people say that we must uninstall the windows fix KB952287, but others come with other sugestions. Why am I getting this error I never had before and what is best solution?

Oh! yes

All drivers are up to date

Concerning www.atikmdag.com I have used method 6: uninstall KB952287 and I haven't got the message so far. About method 5 I'm a litle afraid because I down't which fix to use. Method 4, I feel my self a litle umconfortable with the uninstalling of driver.

I keep waiting some more days and see what happens.

Kan this error occur because I have an other monitor attached to my EliteBook?
