Ruthy
Good evening I’m using office word 2007. The problem is that just randomly it will start typing in another part of the page, or sometimes it will even go and delete a whole paragraph. If someone can let me know how to stop this I would be ever so grateful. Wishing everyone a peaceful evening
-pops-
The first thing I would try is a System Restore to a time before this phenomenon started. A thorough scan for malware would be next on my list and finally, if there is still a problem, a Repair install of MS Word.
Ruthy
This has been going on for a very long time so I wouldn’t know where to do the system restore too. And I’ve run thorough scans. Another thing that happened (a long time ago now) is after an update, I think it was. Is that the hibernate option disappeared so I would really like to know how to get that back too.
MANEMAN
The hibernate problem can come at a later date. Deal with the problems that you have been given answers too first. :) What happened after the Repair install of MS Word as suggested by Pops ? John. MANEMAN
Swap out keyboard and mouse for different combination. If using wireless keyboard and mouse make sure that it is not picking up electrical signals from cell phone or household wireless phone. - Check batteries on both keyboard and mouse. Still failing, - return to a previously made disk image. No disk image made, - Reinstall operating system.
Ruthy
It’s a laptop that I’m using, so I’d presume that it can’t be a keyboard fault? With regards to the disk image would I of had to make one of those at some point? Because I don’t ever remember doing that.

-pops-
Most laptops accept a separate USB keyboard and a mouse if needed.
Ruthy
So do you think it could be an issue with the keyboard? I actually don’t have a separate one to test it out. Or is it likely to be a system re-install that’s required?
nickwhiz
try uninstall and try again installing a new and fresh copy
