Lamb Chop
I have just downloaded and installed DU meter to new OS on old computer. Already used 28% of my monthly allowance started 10th Feb 2012. Anyway it shows a graph with the hours along the base and incoming traffic starting 3 am huge amount for 4am and then tiny again at 5am. I have set updates to download then ask - left the time and it is 3am so must be updates. But since I turn off the power at the wall nightly as do for all TVs and anything else to save the retched ever rising power bills - how can this happen - without power Meaning if so a computer can talk to mine without the use of electricity? so many updates now hard to keep track had been coming down during the day and then installing when I turned off leaving the computer to be turned off once installed etc and then later I turn it all off at the power points. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You don't shut down the computer before turning off the electricity?
MANEMAN
Spooky ! Must be all of the updates on the new system. DU Meter is good, but I think you would probably find "Bandwidth Meter" suits you a little better. ( It's got more knobs and bells, and alerts, an' stuff. :D ) You can download it here: - Free ! http://www.bandwidthmeter.co.uk/ John. Lamb Chop
You don't shut down the computer before turning off the electricity? No - I shut it down - wait until the monitor goes to standby then turn off all the wall plugs for it and printer plus office stuff.
