D4\/!d
I require more disk space. My 2T WD MyBook External drive is becoming insufficient. I hear that Win 7 struggles or has problems with drives of 3T. What do you know. Do you use such large capacity drives yourself? I'll need one for the data and a second drive for data files backup. Thanks,
-pops-
I have a "thing" against extremely large drives - that is, when the drive fails, an awful lot of data in in danger of being lost. You will have your backup, of course but there is nothing quite like that sinking feeling when you find out a drive has gone to the great driveyard in the sky. Having said that, there is the possibility of using a multidrive caddy. Some of these might be of interest http://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/all/hard-drives-ext/network-attached-storage-1-to-2-bay-%28without-hdd%29/network-attached-storage-3-to-4-bay-%28without-hdd%
-pops-
From a somewhat different viewpoint. Is it Windows itself that has problems with very large hard drives or is it the drives? Hard disk drives are mechanical devices and thus limited by Newtonian physics in the speeds that they can operate. The ever increasing capacity of hard drives is not matched by a matching increase or improvement in the mechanical properties - thus their reduced efficiency. Just a thought. That sinking feeling, ha ha.
