Giannhs
Pat Previous topics closed by me . See :-http://forums.window...showtopic=49491http://forums.window...showtopic=49492Thanks! I haven't pirated windows though. The black is pirated and im srry for saying that. But my other CD with windows xp windows SP3 ELL (my language) didn't work. It had the same problem. It couldn't ready any hard disks until i changed my SATA controller from AHCI to Compatibility mode. Black was installed by AHCI mode, so I thought that it would be better.... Any suggestions? Thanks for your time

-pops-
Provided you have a GENUINE Windows disk your best option would be to completely reformat the hard drive (preferably a low level format and then a install of the operating system. One of the big problems with bootleg operating system disks (and other bootleg software) is that it often contains some well hidden and very unwelcome "guest" code which can tuck itself away from ordinary formatting and prevent any further use of that drive. That is why I suggested a low level format.

Thanks for your time! :)
-pops-
Have you made a low level format? I did make the point that there could be some hidden code which is resistant to normal formatting procedures.
