miseryguts
I've got a pretty decent set of 2.1 earphones which I use on the go, but when I'm using them with my desktop the sound is very low & sounds particularly tinny, much more so than using them with my portable media player. Is there any particular application or Windows tweak I can use to improve things..? Thanks.
-pops-
I don't know if this applies to your setup but it may be due to an EU directive (or a US equivalent) the prevents personal audio devices to make any sound above a whisper level in order to protect the users ears. One of the makers of these machines has suggested using drivers intended for other countries where this ruling doesn't apply - or to revert to older drivers for the device if available. D4\/!d
Make sure ALL your volume settings are maxed up - that is, both the windows volume controls and the player volume controls. Also verify the Output settings of your chosen Player [which is?]Some folk use a headphone amp but I suspect you are looking for improvement without costs.
