johnoo Posted June 19, 2012 Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 On start up I have just received this message, said to be from "Windows Genuine Advantage".i have a legal copy of Windows.It said I should re- install within 3 days.I did not accept this suggestion, scared me a bit!Any advise please, is it a legal message from Microsoft? johnoo Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 Boris,Thank you for your support. The time on the M/c is correct & so is the date. I did have a new Motherboard fitted but that was 2 years ago.The "Activate" icon was not showing so i went to Start/All Programs/Accessories/Systems Tools/Activate Windows, & got a message to say that Windows is now activated.So all looks OK- for the moment!
