Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site, operation aborted

When I go to certain sites internet explorer goes to the site and puts up the page then the error pops up.

(Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site, operation aborted)

Has anybody seen or fixed this error.

if the internet explorer have not been updated through windows update. I would suggest you to reset internet explorer and it'll fix the problem.
