MatthewC1
I have encountered a problem with Windows 7 on my PC which I have not come across ever before. This is that a 'CPU usage' window appears when I select the 'Open Task Manager' option. This is highly annoying and would be extremely appreciative of any help that could be offered. Thank you. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Isn't that one of the Task Manager's tabs? Can you post a screenshot?

Boris
Your screenprint isn't very clear.Have you tried clicking one of the other tabs at the top to change the default ?
Irene
What do you get if you do the following?Left-click the Start button.Type Task Manager into the search box, press enter. You should now be presented with a list of options - hopefully at the top should be "View running processes with Task Manager".Touch this link and you should now have the task manager opened.Do you now see the normal Task Manager with all the usual tabs available across the top? MatthewC1
Due to the max size of uploads, I was unable to post a clearer screen print. I typed in Task Manager, opened it, and got the same window I always do. There are no tabs at the top. There isn't even an exit/minimize/maximise button. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Your screenshot shows that it is part of the Task Manager's Performance tab. How you got rid of the rest of it (including headers and tabs) only you can know.
Irene
I think I have found a resolution:http://windows.micro...anager-problems.Task Manager has two different views. To see the view that includes menus and tabs, double-click the border of the Task Manager window. To switch back to the view without menus and tabs, double-click anywhere in the border around the tabs. MatthewC1
Thanks you, guys. It has been righted. Yes, It is part of the task manager, but I had no tabs. The link posted by Irene told me that, if I double click the border, it displays the tabs. Thank you for your aid.
