BSOD Starting Computer

Recommended Posts

Everytime I turn on my computer I get a BSOD, I can't read what it says but all I can make out is that it shut down to protect information or something like that. It's never done this before, I just turned off my computer last night from the button on my desktop, then I turn it on today and it does this..

If you are using XP, this will stop your computer from rebooting so you can see the BSOD.

Click 'Start'

Click on 'Run'

Type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter

Click on the 'Advanced' tab

Click on the 'Startup and Recovery' Settings button

Uncheck 'Automatically restart', then click on OK

Click on OK to exit the System applet, then close the Control Panel.

Reboot for the changes to take effect

If you are using Vist or Win 7, follow this.

1. Click start

2. In the search box type "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter

3.Click Advanced, click settings under Start up & Recovery.

4.Take the tick out of Automatically restart, click OK.
