ProtoXD Posted October 27, 2012 Report Share Posted October 27, 2012 Everytime I turn on my computer I get a BSOD, I can't read what it says but all I can make out is that it shut down to protect information or something like that. It's never done this before, I just turned off my computer last night from the button on my desktop, then I turn it on today and it does this.. Alan2273 Posted October 29, 2012 Report Share Posted October 29, 2012 If you are using XP, this will stop your computer from rebooting so you can see the BSOD.Click 'Start'Click on 'Run'Type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press EnterClick on the 'Advanced' tabClick on the 'Startup and Recovery' Settings buttonUncheck 'Automatically restart', then click on OKClick on OK to exit the System applet, then close the Control Panel.Reboot for the changes to take effectIf you are using Vist or Win 7, follow this.1. Click start2. In the search box type "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter3.Click Advanced, click settings under Start up & Recovery.4.Take the tick out of Automatically restart, click OK.
