NM Rancher
I am using Vista, SP2.Recently I have been unable it install a couple of programs because Windows Installer seems to be not working.I receive this message: "Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not working correctly installed".I should also mention that most of the Windows updates for Vista do not install any more. Occasionally one or two new updates may install, but most do not. could the Windows Installer be causing my problem in being unable to install updates in addition to not being able to install programs?I certainly would appreciate someone putting me on the track to solving these problems. Thanks in advance.
