jalea148
I'm running XP64, SP2. I've downloaded and installed ie7 & ie8; neither will load even though the installations went smoothly.Generally, I use firefox. But there is an application that requires IE. The IE add-on to firefox doesn't help. [similarly for Chrome]Anti-virus is turned off. Both versions of iexplore.exe [32 & 64 bit] are in their IE directories. Neither the 32 bit or 64 bit versions load.Hotfix did not help.
andsome
Have you tried System restore? Do you have a back up in the form of a mirror image?
Irene
Hello jalea148, welcome to Windows Forum. :)I did a search on your problem and come across the following:http://iefaq.info/in...=133&artlang=en which was suggested in this thread: http://cnedelcu.blog...lorer-wont.htmlI must add that I have never personally tried this, so I would recommend that you back up your registry before proceeding with the process. JiniOnline
In this scenario, only system restore is the option.
andsome
I think jalea148 has lost interest. Looks like one of these examples where people put a problem on several forums and don't bother to follow up on them all. Rather bad manners.
