AlanHo
My wife's desktop computer suddenly hit a problem this evening. When she loads IE9 and starts to browse she is getting a window pop up from the task bar stating :-"Internet Explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors"You can click it off and ignore the warning but it is a nuisance. This is happening on every web page she loadsI have carefully compared all the IE security and privacy settings against my computer and they are the same.We both use MS Security Essentials - again the settings are identical.I then reset all the IE settings to default using the tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset functionI used system restore to restore her computer to the last restore point - which was 2 days ago (when all was well)Despite trying all of the above, the problem remains. Both our computers are identical self-built Intel quad core running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and are connected to the Virgin Media modem via mains plug network adapters Any ideas? AlanHo
IreneYou are a champ - I picked up numerous suggestions from Mr Google (mainly IE security and anti virus programme settings) - but never came across that one.I guess that the CMOS battery is about to expire. Thanks a bunch for earning me some house points....
