Splash screen shows, but game doesn't launch

Recommended Posts

Hello

When I click the icon to run the game. The splash screen for the game shows whilst the disk spins up etc. All of a sudden disk stops, splash screen goes, and I am just left on the desktop. I have tried to run one of the games in compatibilty mode because it was released pre windows xp. But that doesn't help. I have disiabled all my firewalls and anti virus to see if that helped but it didn't.

Any help would be much appriciated, if you have any questions just ask.

I am running windows XP Home Edition SP 3

Many people had the same trouble with this particular game. I think the answer was to copy the files from the disk straight to a folder on the computer and run it from the folder.

I seem to remember seeing something about this on the gamers forum. http://www.gamers-forum.com/

Have a look through.

How did you know what game he is trying to play.

Did you get a psychic kit for Xmas?........................

I have a similar problem with my favourite game

Knowing the game being played requires no psychic skills Alan.

The game being played is pushing this post http://forums.window...showtopic=50297 down the list so that it will become lost and forgotten. :)

The problem with your favourite game Alan is that the hydraulics required are coming up close to their "use by" date.

Nevertheless. Do keep an eye on this forum for answers to the primary game: http://sourceforge.n...rums/forum/1794
