Chris
(Please wait whilst images load)If you want to view an attachment in Outlook Express you may find that you are not allowed to view this attachment. This is because of a Windows update that increases the security of Outlook Express. An attachment could be a word document, a picture, a music file or anything. However it could be a virus and this is where this feature (of removing access to an attachment) is helpful. However the attachment could be a perfectly harmless and an innocent file. To set Outlook Express to allow you to access the attachment follow these steps...In Outlook Express (at the top) click Tools and then at the bottom click, Options... (see pic below)Now click on the Security tab up at the top. Then click the tick in the box next to, Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus. Then click OK at the bottom. (see pic below)You should now have access to the attachment.

expertec
I believe if you click on "Forward" from the message with the blocked attachment, that will also allow you access
