Quick File Extension Change

I have been using this little freebie for quite some time now.

A good point, - but if you stop and think about it, for many files with hidden extensions you would first have to go to - Tools / Folder Options / and untick the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types" just to find out the true extension.

There are quite a few video files that show themselves as FLV, WMV, etc but because of corruption end up with the extension TMP (Temp). One click with this freeware allows you to both see the true extension, and have the ability to alter it straight away. I have also downloaded PDF files with no extension at all other than "file"

Perhaps I should have said "If you cannot see any usefulness for this - you don't need it" instead of..............................

It is the fastest way to change a file extension believe me. Give it a try.

I have a 6" bastard file amongst my garage tool kit but cannot see how this will change the file extension to 8"....................

Well spotted. No unfortunately this will not work with Bastards or Paedo-philes. :)
