Guest Shirley_Crabtree
Hi I have a program called Browser hijack blaster and I want to configure it so it is executed when I switch my PC on or...better still when I fire up my browser. How do I add it to my startup performs? OS is XP Pro.Does anyone advise that I scrap it and use something better that DOES sit in the quicklaunch thingy from startup,by default? Cheers.Shirl. mark2
Shirl, Spybot has a home page locking facility. If you click on the immunize button you can set 'Lock IE start page against user changes'and'Lock hosts file as read only as protection against Hijackers'That should do what you want ? Guest Shirley_Crabtree
It'd be nice to configure Spybot to do the job.I've ticked the ones you said...but how do I make Spybot run in the background giving me resident protection? Never did work that one out  Cheers.Shirl. mark2
Shirl, Once you have immunize selected it works like Spyware blaster.Open SpybotClick tools, click resident, click install in upper left corner.HTH
