From Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit to 64 bit

Back up your files to external device and install the 64-bit version of your choice (if the machines hardware will support it of course).


Copy the files back to the HDD/SSD.


If it is programs/applications that you want to migrate; forget about it: There will be the need of a Custom (clean) install of the OS from x86 to x64.
