cinque8
Hi, I have an HP Compaq 6515B laptop that has a AMD TURION X2-64 processor. The laptop came with Windows Vista 32 bit version. My question is, will this computer run the 64 bit Windows Vista version? Surprisingly the owners manual doesn't cover this topic. Thanks! -cinque8
-pops-
If you want to change your operating system why persist with Vista - one of Microsoft's less successful efforts. There are two Windows versions following Vista which may be considered to be obsolescent. Use these checkers to update your system to something more modern: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/downloads/upgrade-advisor http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-8/upgrade-assistant-advisor#1TC=t1 The advisers are for the UK versions. Similar items are available via the Windows website if you're in another area.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
If you are going to switch to 64-bit Windows, your much better option would be Windows 7.
